EIGHTH GRADE: Eighth graders are finally moving onto new material. They had a quiz today (Monday) and Tuesday we will begin to learn more about foods and how to maintain your health. There will be homework Tuesday through Thursday night on plurals of adjectives, the verb ser, and maintaining your health. If any student wants to retake a quiz or test and they got below 79% they can ask me.
SIXTH GRADE: Sixth graders just took a quiz on telling time and they are welcome to retake it if they got 79% or below. We will be continuing to learn body parts through simon says and creating body collages with magazine cutouts. There will be a homework assignment on body parts on Tuesday and Wednesday night.

EIGHTH GRADE: Eighth graders will have a quiz on Tuesday the 22nd on the conjugations of regular AR, ER and IR verbs. It will be 25 questions multiple choice. They will be given a subject and a verb and they will need to select the correct verb conjugation. We will also be reviewing food on Tuesday and then we will be moving on to Chapter 3B which will be new material. They will have homework Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night. Monday night's homework is to study.
SIXTH GRADE: Sixth graders are continuing to study time and on Monday and Tuesday they will have an introduction to the Spanish alphabet which will involve a team spelling competition in which the winning team will win 5 extra credit points. They will have homework on telling time for Monday and Tuesday night which will be due on Wednesday and Thursday depending on when they have class. Their next short quiz will be on telling time and it will be on Friday and Monday. It will be another clicker quiz with 15 multiple choice questions.

In Eighth grade we are continuing to review content from last year. There will be a clicker quiz on Thursday the 17th. The quiz will be on numbers 1-25, body parts, verb meanings, adjectives, and prepositions. We will also review food items after the quiz. Beginning next week we will begin with new material from chapter 3B while continuing to incorporate review material such as calender items, time, etc.

In sixth grade we continue to perfect number 1-25 and telling time. There will be a clicker quiz Thursday the 17th on numbers 1-25. Spelling will count and the quiz will be all multiple choice. We will start body parts starting next week.

Bienvenidos a la clase de Español!
Welcome to Spanish class. This week will be short and introductory. Both the sixth and eighth grade classes will have one simple homework assignment this week which will involve reading my blog and answering a few questions. This is to get students used to checking the blog.
